We welcome your comments on the Integrated Ecosystem Assessment (IEA) Action Coordination Team (ACT) draft work plan (summary). The ACT developed this draft work plan to achieve Action 3.2 of the West Coast Governors' Agreement on Ocean Health Action Plan.

Public comment on the work plan will be accepted through August 20, 2010.

How to Comment:
Please provide feedback only on the draft work plan that was designed for implementation of Action 3.2 of the WCGA Action Plan. Presently, the Executive Committee will not amend the actions contained the WCGA Action Plan released in July 2008 nor the eight final work plans released in May 2010.

Please provide input such as:

  • Offering assistance to advance particular activities, including in-kind resources, education, research, tools, and other partnerships
  • Suggesting methods to improve effectiveness of deliverables
  • Suggesting ways to improve coordination and information sharing
  • Identifying additional funding opportunities or sources

The Executive Committee recognizes that many efforts are underway that may fulfill the actions in the WCGA Action Plan. The feedback needed on the draft IEA work plan is not an inventory of the related projects and programs that are in progress, but ideas on the most effective strategies, activities, and outcomes needed to accomplish the actions in a regionally coordinated manner.
