Beach Four, Olympic Coast, Washington
Public meetings were held in all three states to give members of the public and other stakeholders an opportunity to comment on the priorities outlined in the West Coast Governors’ Agreement on Ocean Health, and a discussion paper which provides additional background information and illustrative examples of possible actions the three states may take under the Agreement. Alternative Energy Workshop participants heard from ocean energy experts about the potential for wind, wave and tidal energy along the Pacific Coast and Puget Sound as well as experts in the emerging technologies being developed to capture that energy.
